Definition Artificial intelligence (Al) is an area of computer science that emphasizes the creation of intelligent machines that work and reacts like humans. Some of the activities computers with artificial intelligence are designed for include:
Speech recognition

To put it simple- Machine-Premised Intelligence is artificial intelligence. It is a branch of computer science that deals with making computers or machines as smart as humans. John McCarthy invented the term in 1956 at a meeting of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Dartmouth.


 It is the simulation of processes of human intelligence such as self-improvement by teaching (the association of data and data rules), logic, or machinery (specifically, the computer system), using guidelines to draw inferred or explicit conclusions.


 • However, work is being done in this area, except in a few cases of computers playing games in comparison to the best human players.

In May 1997, an IBM supercomputer named Deep Blue defeated Garry Kasparov in a chess match. 

Another recent example from 2016 is that AlphaGo, a Google-run DeepMind AI program, won over Korean Lee Sedol, one of Go's most prominent players.
